Nandini's Trip

Sailing eastwards in two thousand nine,
I trudge with a heavy a bag, bless my spine;
As I try to make the whole world mine,
One country, one place, one step at a time.

Europe is beautiful, a place so fine,
People so friendly, and excellent wine;
Strangers I greet, meet, dance with and dine,
I also say, Dont worry mom your daughter is fine.

Eating icecream, yogurt, mango and gelatine,
I walk along the banks of rivers divine;
Thames, Llobregat, Seine and maybe Rhine,
Thinking about reincarnation, future, luck and destine.

Feels good to be alone, to discover and determine,
Nothing to stop my goal, not even the flu of swine;
As I try to make the whole world mine,
One country, one place, one step at a time.
